Benefits
of Tea
Indeed, apart from water, tea is one of the
most natural beverages available on the market.
It also provides a very palatable and pleasant
way for us to take in the necessary amount of
fluid our bodies require daily for good health.
Here are some good general health pointers on
tea:
- Tea acts as a diuretic and therefore helps
the kidney action as well as that of the colon
- The intake of water drunk with tea also aids
the prevention of stone formation and constipation
- Tea helps with digestion, and is, generally
speaking, a good beverage to drink both with
and after meals
- It helps the body's digestive juices work
better, because it does not contain either alcohol
or sugar, unless you add it yourself.
- It also helps the stomach muscles' action
thus aiding digestion and taking the "heaviness"
out of a meal
- After exercise, tea is excellent. Warm drinks
are absorbed by the body more quickly than cold
drinks, and thus a cup of tea replaces lost
body fluid as well as being reviving and refreshing.
- For children of 10 years and over, tea is
particularly good compared to carbonated drinks
as it does not contain sugar. If your child
likes sugar, its intake can be controlled more
easily with tea.
